Getting Started is Simple!

  1. Learn & share the benefits of starting a virtual/sim sports program at your school.  Virtual sports are true sporting and athletic activities that are easy to launch, inexpensive to maintain, and can make sports that are otherwise unattainable a possibility.  They can also be a launching pad to the "real sport" counterpart.  More on SIM sports here

  2. Identify a champion for your program who can function as your "Virtual Sports Athletic Director".

  3. Determine the overall interest at your school and which virtual/sim sport(s) are of most interest initially.

  4. Determine the best department under which to run the program, such as the athletic department, exercise science school, computer science program, or even your business school. You might most easily be able to launch under your existing intramural or student club infrastructure.

  5. Register your team here!  Depending upon the specific virtual sports of interest, the NCVSA can direct you toward vendors, and possibly even sponsors, who can help you get started with equipment!
